tep-by-Step Guide
- Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.
- Shake the bottle gently if the instructions say so.
- Tilt your head back or lie down.
- Use one hand to pull down your lower eyelid to form a small pocket.
- Hold the dropper close (but not touching) your eye with the other hand.
- Squeeze one drop into the pocket formed by your lower lid.
- Do not touch the eye or eyelashes with the dropper.
- Close your eye gently (do not squeeze tightly or blink too much).
- Press gently on the inner corner of your eye (near the nose) for 1–2 minutes.
- This prevents the drop from draining into your nose/throat.
- If using more than one type of eye drop, wait at least 5 minutes between each.
- Wipe away excess liquid around your eyes.
⚠ Important Tips
- Use only the number of drops prescribed (usually 1 drop).
- Do not share eye drops with anyone.
- Check expiry date and throw away after 28 days of opening, unless advised otherwise.
- If using eye ointment and drops, use eye drops first, wait 5 minutes, then apply ointment.
- If you wear contact lenses, remove them first (unless doctor says you can use drops with lenses).
🚨 Seek medical advice if you notice:
- Increased redness or swelling
- Eye pain or discharge
- Blurred vision that doesn’t improve
